Literacy Trust 100
Literacy Trust 100 is Cape Fear Literacy Council’s leadership giving group: individuals who commit to donate at a level that is right for them for five years. These donations provide crucial unrestricted support of the Literacy Council’s efforts to reach and teach more adults who want to improve critical literacy skills. Our goal is to enroll and recognize 100 Literacy Trust members – a powerful show of support for literacy.
Our new tiered-membership system for the Literacy Trust widens the leadership circle to include a Silver Level ($500 annually for a 5-year commitment), Gold Level ($1,000 annually for a 5-year commitment), and a Platinum Level ($2,500 annually for a 5-year commitment). Please find a review of the benefits of each level of membership below:
Corporate Partnership Program
Cape Fear Literacy Council’s partnerships with corporations and small businesses in the Cape Fear region have been a key factor to our organization’s longtime vitality and the success of the educational opportunities we provide to adult learners in our community. Partnering with the Literacy Council provides businesses with the unique opportunity to connect with the community, increase brand visibility, and show your company’s support of addressing one of the most important silent crises of our age: adult low literacy.

Planned Giving Program
Planned giving is the integration of personal, financial, and estate planning goals using lifetime or charitable giving set forth in a will with benefits to a philanthropic interest. It enables individuals and families to make larger gifts to charitable organizations than they could make from ordinary income.
Some planned gifts are immediate, some provide life-long income to donors, and other gift plans use estate and tax planning to provide for charity and heirs in ways that maximize the gift and/or minimize its impact on the donor’s estate.
More information about major gifts, that can be made in life or at death as part of a donor’s overall financial and/or estate planning, can be found in our Planned Giving Program Brochure. If you’d like to educate yourself about CFLC’s planned gift options, more info can be found below.
