Adult Story Hour: Pop Up
One night only! Hosted at Azalea Station, a cozy venue in the Cargo District, there’s great food, drinks, and comfortable seating. Modeled after NPR’s Selected Shorts, the evening features local authors reading short pieces they love to a live audience. Followed by a Q&A with the audience.

Adult Story Hour
Adult Story Hour is a six-week series of once-weekly events held at Azalea Station in Wilmington’s Cargo District. Modeled after NPR’s Selected Shorts, each evening features local authors, artists, and entertainers reading short pieces they love (but didn’t write) to a live audience.
Luncheon for Literacy
The Luncheon for Literacy is our largest fundraising event of the year. With over 400 people attending, this is a heartwarming opportunity for connections that raises awareness around the important work we do.

Free Concert Fridays
In the summer of 2025, CFLC was a benefitting non-profit for the Free Concert Friday series hosted by Eagle’s Dare. Each week features a different band and a chance to raise money for our programs.
Words of Inspiration
The first ever CFLC art exhibit opened July 25, 2025 at ACME Art Studios. Featuring over 30 local and regional artists, the show was a massive success and a beloved experience for all.
