Computers On Wheels Program (C.O.W.s)

The Computers on Wheels Program

As our society becomes more driven by and dependent on technology, many of our students and fellow community members are increasingly in need of digital instruction. Our mobile computer lab (C.O.W.s—Computers on Wheels),  partners with local service providers; Step Up Wilmington, NC Works, and the Good Shepherd Center to provide a mobile computer lab that brings computer resources to the Wilmington community.  Classes and labs are also offered at our CFLC campus.

The mobile computer lab’s services include:

– Open labs – individual, one-on-one help; drop-in as needed

– Classes – comprehensive instruction at  beginning and intermediate levels; Northstar certification for Microsoft Word and Excel

– Workshops – targeted instruction for specific skill sets

Drop-in labs are available at the Literacy Council on Tuesdays from 11:30 am – 1 pm and Wednesdays from 5:30 – 7 pm; no sign-up or registration required.  For more information about our offsite locations or class schedules, please call Nancy or Jodi at 910-251-0911 or email Nancy at nwoolley@cfliteracy.org.
