Simone Stenson
Community Outreach Program Assistant
Simone Stenson is the Community Outreach Program Assistant for the Cape Fear Literacy Council. She has a passion for helping people with their educational goals because of her own struggles with dyslexia.
Simone moved to Wilmington in 2022 after falling in love with the city during a college spring break trip. Simone graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management and Business Administration from the University of Tennessee – Knoxville. While Simone went into college thinking she wanted to work in the sporting industry, after taking a part-time job as a preschool teacher she fell in love with education! Simone is a social media and marketing nerd and has experience helping businesses strengthen their outreach programs.
Outside of her work at the Literacy Council, Simone loves to read, write, work out, and cheer on her favorite sports teams!
