An Update about the 2017 “12 Tastes of Christmas”

We wanted to share a brief update with our supporters about the 2017 “12 Tastes of Christmas” event.

The organizers of this event, Katherine Clark and Nina Bays Cournoyer, are amazing! We are so grateful for their four years of dedication to Cape Fear Literacy Council as co-founders of “The 12 Tastes of Christmas!” The 12 Tastes of Christmas was a fantastic holiday tasting party that brought so much to our students, tutors, and organization with every delicious bite and sip. From start to finish, Nina and Katherine did it ALL! They brought together some of Wilmington’s finest bars and restaurants who donate delicious samplings, fun DJs and comedians who entertained packed houses, amazing interior designers who made stunning holiday-themed lounges, and community businesses who donated everything from raffle prizes to gorgeous floral decorations. Katherine and Nina brought the Brooklyn Arts Center at St. Andrews alive every December with one great party.

Sadly, Nina and her husband, Bryan, moved to Los Angeles earlier this year and Katherine Clark Photography is growing by leaps and bounds, so “12 Tastes” is taking a hiatus this year. Cape Fear Literacy Council is regrouping and deciding what will happen for “12 Tastes” in the years to come, but in the meantime, please thank these two wonderful, creative, talented, gorgeous women for ALL they do for our community!
