Sample some holiday fair and sip crafted creations–all while helping the Cape Fear Literacy Council–during the local nonprofit organization’s second annual 12 Tastes of Christmas.

The fundraising event is for 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at the Brooklyn Arts Center.

This year’s soiree includes a signature drink or bite to eat from the following local restaurants and bars: The Blind Elephant, Caprice, Chops Deli, The Olive Cafe, Canape, Flytrap Brewing, Greenline Pizza, Front Street Brewery, Delish NC, Wilmington Brewing Company, Goat & Compass, Costello’s and Soulful Twist.

Chill Bill will provide the music and Dead Crow Comedy plays host for the evening.

According to its organizers, 12 Tastes of Christmas aims to establish an affordable level of donations, both for individuals and small businesses. Last year’s event drew a packed house of 300 and raised more than $5,000 for adult literacy and English for Speakers of Other Languages programs in the Cape Fear region.

Tickets to this year’s fundraiser are $30 each and will be sold in advance only. All ticket sales, donations and sponsor gifts directly benefit Cape Fear Literacy Council.
