2008 Mardi Gras Gala & Bid for
Literacy Auction to be held Saturday evening, March 1, 2008 at the Coastline
Convention Center!
Mardi Gras Gala … a Wilmington tradition for over 20 years, Cape Fear Literacy
Council's Mardi Gras themed charity auction is a fun-filled evening of glitz,
glamour and good times! The festivities, held at the Coastline Convention Center,
begin near sunset at 6 PM with the silent auction and heavy hors d'oeuvres,
followed by the always lively Bid for Literacy vocal auction. At the 2007 Gala,
The Band of Oz took the stage throughout the night with great music and dancing.
 The
2008 Mardi Gras Gala committee has already started to plan for an exciting gala
and auction. Please check this website for more details about the 2008 Gala
