Cape Fear Literacy Council's partners and friends share significant rewards from their donations. Through their gifts, donors get the personal fulfillment of knowing that they have made a meaningful investment in their community.

It is Cape Fear Literacy's Council's mission to help adults improve their literary skills so they can reach their potential on the job, in their community, for their children, and for themselves. Donors of the Literacy Council experience the satisfaction of knowing that they are helping to bring positive change into the lives of adults and their families.

Making Donations

There are many ways to support the Cape Fear Literacy Council, and the easiest way is by pledging funds to sustain our ongoing programs. Nothing could be easier or more direct than donating gifts by cash, check, credit card to the Literacy Council.

LiteracyTrust 100

We have a special giving group, the LiteracyTrust 100. These donors pledge $1,000 annually for five years. They recognize that by providing unrestricted dollars CFLC can count on from year-to-year, it frees the staff to devote more time and energy to reach more adults, meeting the community's needs, and less time seeking dollars from events and from other resources.

At first glance the investment may seem out of reach--in reality, it translates to less than $20 a week (the equivalent of a movie night out, a couple of lunches, or a few lattes). This is truly an affordable donation by which you can enact positive changes that will improve people's lives-and thereby our town's life and strength for generations to come. It's a small price to pay for a truly lasting change.
